El Mar Hirviendo is a sustained observation of the sea surface begun in 2011 from the Barceloneta pier in Barcelona. Returning to the same point of contact over years, the work approaches water not as landscape but as a living threshold — neither still nor resolved. The series has generated photographs, paintings, and video.
